OVERVIEW

CHRIS ELMES

Managing Director

Chris has worked in the building industry for 20 years, gaining experience initially in Civil Engineering and then focusing on Insurance related repairs from 2005.

He believes in the importance of nurturing existing relationships, with both clients and suppliers, as well as creating new partnerships. Mutual respect, trust and honesty are seen as key to ensuring the continued success of the business into the future and it is always with this in mind that Chris operates.

He enjoys working with a great team of people who relish a challenge, and outside of work he enjoys time with his family and the occasional coasteering trip to get the adrenalin flowing.

MARTIN BISHOP

Chairman

Martin has extensive experience in the property claims sector having worked with insurers, adjusters and supply chains for over 30 years. Specialising in operational compliance and efficiency within the repair management process, Martin enjoys the challenge of uncertainty that this industry brings.

DAN DOWLING

Director

Dan has over 10 years’ experience within the insurance and construction industry. His passion for construction drives him to deal with the more complex and unusual claims we see.

He also looks after our IT and communications infrastructure to ensure we are ready for business and moving with the times by utilising the latest technology.

His hobbies outside of work are spending time with his young family, watching rugby and travelling.

MARTIN LUCK

Director

Martin started his career as an apprentice carpenter, soon becoming a fully skilled craftsman. He started working within the insurance reinstatement industry in 2009. His experience of working ‘on site’, and a natural understanding and empathy for our customers, enable Martin to deal with a wide variety claims at varying levels of complexity.

The progression within DJHravcon has been the result of 20 years of experience and dedication; his early beginnings as an apprentice have naturally lead him to the point where he now acts as lead mentor for our young apprentice recruits.

Martin’s hobbies and past times (when not working) include spending time with his young family and trying to exercise in between phone calls!

TOM KIRK

Director

Tom played professional rugby from the age of 18 and retired in 2007, having played for Northampton Saints, Bedford Blues and Nottingham. Once retired, he studied Civil Engineering whilst working for Ravcon as a Framework Manager, responsible for a repair and maintenance contract with Anglian Water. He migrated into the buildings insurance industry with Ravcon and became a director of DJHravcon in 2018. Aside from owning a case load, he is also responsible for managing our trade force – a task he takes great pride in. He considers them to be an extremely important part of our operation and believes that if we look after them, they will look after our business.

Outside of work he is a keen road cyclist and Ironman triathlete.

Julian Hassanzadeh

Surveyor Contracts Manager

Julian has been in the building industry for over 14 years, having operated as a qualified plumber, and has experience in all elements of the building trade.

Last year Julian moved across from being a tradesman on site to become one of our Contracts Managers.

In his spare time he likes to play & watch rugby and has recently taken up snowboarding.

Ian Alexander

Compliance and Reporting

Ian joined the team in 2013 overseeing compliance and reporting. He also provides the company Management Information so we know where we are at any one time with our workflow.

In his spare time he enjoys karate in which he is a Black Belt, and is the Tower Captain within his local church.

Davinya Lawless

Finance Assistant

Davinya has over 22 years of experience within finance, spending the last 10 years within the insurance industry.

During her time within the insurance industry she has also gained experience in other areas of the business including contract management and restoration.

In her spare time she likes to bake and knitt.
